Have you found yourself wondering where all of the horror tropes, monsters, and stories come from? Like where did George Romero get the idea for zombies? Where did the belief in demons and possessions come from? What about vampires, werewolves, cryptids? Why do our brains go to something otherworldly when something makes a noise in the dark?
Once a month, I will be deep diving into some aspect of horror or the supernatural. I will be exploring how each trope or topic differs around the world and how they have changed over the years. Whether they were just scary stories parents used to keep their kids in line or things people actually believed in. I will be researching both the history of these topics and how they have either been debunked through science or why people still believe in them.
